Key Parameters to Confirm When Selecting M9 Connectors

Core Selection Principle

  • 6 Critical Parameters Confirmation: To avoid adaptation errors, it is necessary to confirm 6 key parameters at one time when selecting M9 connectors, covering electrical, structural and application requirements.

Detailed Selection Parameters & Explanation

① Core Count

Select according to signal/power transmission channel requirements, conventional options are 2~8 cores, which directly determines the transmission capacity of the connector.

② Pin/Hole Type

Confirm male connector (pin type) or female connector (hole type) according to equipment interface matching requirements, follow the industrial "pin-socket" mating principle.

③ Wiring Method

Optional soldering, crimping or direct plug-in, select according to on-site installation efficiency and reliability requirements (soldering is more stable, crimping is faster).

④ Installation Method

Panel mount (front/back mounting) or cable mount (straight/angled head), match with equipment installation space and wiring layout.

⑤ Protection Grade

IP67 is standard for mated state, IP68 is optional for harsh environment (high humidity/dust), confirm according to application environment requirements.

⑥ Cable Outer Diameter

Match with 3~6mm cable outer diameter, the locking part needs to be compatible with cable size to ensure sealing and fixing effect.

Technical Note: Incorrect selection of any of the 6 parameters will lead to connector mismatch, poor contact or reduced protection performance. It is recommended to confirm the complete parameter list with the equipment drawing before procurement.
