Conventional models have no protection (plug/socket ports are exposed, dust and water can enter directly); special dust caps can be optionally equipped to achieve basic dustproof protection for the port.
Technical Note: The IP67 protection grade of M9 connectors is conditional on full mating and tightening; the optional dust cap only provides dustproof protection and cannot achieve waterproof effect in unmated state. It is recommended to install the dust cap when the connector is not used for a long time.
